  • Improved measurement of the absolute branching fraction of D+ → K0 µ + νµ

    • 摘要:

By analyzing 2.93 fb-1 of data collected at √s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction B(D+ → K 0 µ+νµ) = (8.72 ±0.07stat. ±0.18sys.) %, which is consistent with previous measurements within uncertainties but with significantly improved precision. Combining the Particle Data Group values of B(D0 → K- µ + νµ), B(D+ → K 0 e +νe), and the lifetimes of the D0 and D+ mesons with the value of B(D+ → K 0 µ + νµ) measured in this work, we determine the following ratios of partial widths: Γ(D0 → K-µ+νµ)/Γ(D+ → K 0 µ+νµ) = 0.963 ± 0.044 and Γ(D+ → K 0 µ+νµ)/Γ(D+ → K 0 e+νe) = 0.988±0.033. mechanisms with better accuracy. In addition, the improved B(D+ → K 0 µ+νµ) can also be used to precisely determine the form factor f K + (0) and the quark mixing matrix element |Vcs| from D semileptonic decays [3]. Previous measurements of B(D+ → K 0 µ+νµ) come from MARKIII [4], FOCUS [5] and BESII [6]. In this paper, by analyzing 2.93 fb-1 of data [7,8] collected at the centerof- mass energy of √s = 3.773 GeV by the BESIII detector [9], we determine the absolute branching fraction of D+ → K 0 µ+νµ. Throughout the paper, charge conjugation is implied.

  • First observation of the decay χcJ → ς+ p KS0 + c. c. (J=0,1,2) FIRST OBSERVATION of the DECAY ... ABLIKIM M. et al

    • 摘要:

Using E1 radiative transitions ψ(3686)→γχcJ from a sample of (448.1±2.9)×106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector, the decays χcJ→ς+pKS0+c.c.(J=0,1,2) are studied. The decay branching fractions are measured to be B(χc0→ς+pKS0+c.c.)=(3.52±0.19±0.21)×10-4, B(χc1→ς+pKS0+c.c.)=(1.53±0.10±0.08)×10-4, and B(χc2→ς+pKS0+c.c.)=(8.25±0.83±0.49)×10-5, where the first and second uncertainties are the statistical and systematic ones, respectively. No evident intermediate resonances are observed in the studied processes.

  • Measurement of the Absolute Branching Fraction of the Inclusive Semileptonic Λc+ Decay

    • 摘要:

Using a data sample of e+e- collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb-1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of s=4.6 GeV with the BESIII detector, we measure the absolute branching fraction of the inclusive semileptonic Λc+ decay with a double-tag method. We obtain B(Λc+→Xe+νe)=(3.95±0.34±0.09)%, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second systematic. Using the known Λc+ lifetime and the charge-averaged semileptonic decay width of nonstrange charmed mesons (D0 and D+), we obtain the ratio of the inclusive semileptonic decay widths Γ(Λc+→Xe+νe)/Γ(D→Xe+νe)=1.26±0.12.

  • Search for rare decay J /ψ →φe+e-

    • 摘要:

Using a data sample of 448.1×106 ψ(3686) events collected at s=3.686 GeV with the BESIII detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider II, we search for the rare decay J/ψ→φe+e- via ψ(3686)→π+π-J/ψ. No signal events are observed and the upper limit on the branching fraction is set to be B(J/ψ→φe+e-)<1.2×10-7 at the 90% confidence level, which is still about one order of magnitude higher than the Standard Model prediction.

  • Study of the near-threshold ω mass enhancement in doubly OZI-suppressed J/ψ→γω decays

    • 摘要:

A 2.25×108 J/ψ event sample accumulated with the BESIII detector is used to study the doubly Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka-suppressed decay modes J/ψ→γω, ω→π+π-π0, →K+K-. A strong deviation (>30σ) from three-body J/ψ→γω phase space is observed near the ω mass threshold that is consistent with a previous observation reported by the BESII experiment. A partial wave analysis with a tensor covariant amplitude that assumes that the enhancement is due to the presence of a resonance, the X(1810), is performed and confirms that the spin-parity of the X(1810) is 0 ++. The mass and width of the X(1810) are determined to be M=1795±7(stat)-5+13(syst)±19(mod) MeV/c2 and Γ= 95±10(stat)-34+21(syst)±75(mod) MeV/c2, respectively, and the product branching fraction is measured to be B(J/ψ→γX(1810)) ×B(X(1810)→ω)=(2.00±0.08(stat)-1.00+0.45(syst)±1. 30(mod))×10-4. These results are consistent within errors with those of the BESII experiment.

  • Measurements of the absolute branching fractions and CP asymmetries for D+ → KS,L0 K+ (π0)

    • 摘要:

Using e+e- collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93 fb-1 taken at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we determine the absolute branching fractions B(D+→KS0K+)=(3.02±0.09±0.08)×10-3, B(D+→KS0K+π0)=(5.07±0.19±0.23)×10-3, B(D+→KL0K+)=(3.21±0.11±0.11)×10-3, and B(D+→KL0K+π0)=(5.24±0.22±0.22)×10-3, where the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. The branching fraction B(D+→KS0K+) is consistent with the world average value and the other three branching fractions are measured for the first time. We also measure the CP asymmetries for the four decays and do not find a significant deviation from zero.

  • Study of η (1475) and X (1835) in radiative J /ψ decays to γφ

    • 摘要:

The decay J/ψ→γγφ is studied using a sample of 1.31×109 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector. Two structures around 1475 MeV/c2 and 1835 MeV/c2 are observed in the γφ invariant mass spectrum for the first time. With a fit on the γφ invariant mass, which takes into account the interference between the two structures, and a simple analysis of the angular distribution, the structure around 1475 MeV/c2 is found to favor an assignment as the η(1475) and the mass and width for the structure around 1835 MeV/c2 are consistent with the X(1835). The statistical significances of the two structures are 13.5σ and 6.3σ, respectively. The results indicate that both η(1475) and X(1835) contain a sizeable ss component.

  • Search for hc →π+π-J /ψ via ψ (3686) →π0π+π-J /ψ

    • 摘要:

Using a data sample of 448.1×106 ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII, we perform search for the hadronic transition hc→π+π-J/ψ via ψ(3686)→π0hc. No signals of the transition are observed, and the upper limit on the product branching fraction B(ψ(3686)→π0hc)B(hc→π+π-J/ψ) at the 90% confidence level (C.L.) is determined to be 2.0×10-6. This is the most stringent upper limit to date.

  • Observation of Λc+ →n KS0 π+

    • 摘要:

We report the first direct measurement of decays of the Λc+ baryon involving the neutron. The analysis is performed using 567 pb-1 of e+e- collision data collected at s=4.599 GeV with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. We observe the decay Λc+→nKS0π+ and measure the absolute branching fraction to be B(Λc+→nKS0π+)=[1.82±0.23(stat)±0.11(syst)]%. A comparison to B[Λc+→p(K̄π)0] provides an important test of isospin symmetry and final state interactions.
